ADMISSIONS TO SCHOOL

Nursery class

All Solihull infant and primary schools are now responsible for their own nursery admissions policy. In order to provide as much information as possible for parents, please see below for our admissions to nursery policy, along with information leaflets about the government 30 hour free childcare.

Nursery Admissions Policy

30 hours free childcare funding: https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare

Our admission arrangements for nursery children mirror those of the Local Authority for children from Reception upwards.

Details of Monkeys, our wrap around childcare provision, can be found on our childcare page here: https://monkspathschool.co.uk/childcare

Reception class

Our school follows Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council’s admission arrangements for reception aged children.

Each year, the council publishes information detailing of the admission arrangements for Solihull schools. The information is available from the Solihull Council school admissions team on 0121 704 6693 or from the SMBC website at www.solihull.gov.uk/admissions

You can apply for a place online at http://www.solihull.gov.uk/enrol

Reception application forms are available from the Solihull Council School Admissions Team 12 months before the child is due to start in reception.

Attendance in a school nursery will not give any priority for a place in the reception class at the same school. A reception application form must be completed.

In-year admissions

Our school follows Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council’s admission arrangements for in-year admissions.

Each year, the council publishes information detailing of the admission arrangements during the school year for Solihull schools. The information is available from the Solihull Council school admissions team on 0121 704 6693 or from the SMBC website at www.solihull.gov.uk/Schools-and-learning/moving-schools-during-school-year

Tours for prospective families

Small group tours led by one of our Senior Leaders take place at various times throughout each Autumn Term for the following September admission. If you are thinking of applying for a place for your child please call the school office for details of our available dates and to book a place to see our school.
