Get Ready for Grossbusters! – The Year 6 Leavers’ Performance at the Core Theatre

 

Our exciting Year 6 production of ‘Grossbusters’ is fast approaching! This promises to be a fantastic experience for the children, and we are very much looking forward to sharing their hard work with you.

 

Daytime Rehearsal Details

This rehearsal is a valuable opportunity for the children to practise in a real theatre environment and work with professional lighting and sound technicians.

• Date: Tuesday 14th July 2026
• Location: The Core Theatre, Solihull
• Arrival at School: Normal time
• Departure by coach: 9:15am
• Return by coach: 3:00pm (in time for normal 3:25pm collection)

 

Children will require:

• Arrive in costume with accessories in a bag
• Plenty of drinks (rehearsals can be very active)
• A packed lunch. If you would prefer your child to have a school lunch, please indicate this on the permission form

 

Evening Performance Details

Children should be dropped off in costume at the stage door by a parent/carer, where they will be signed in and supervised by school staff until the performance begins.

• Drop-off: 6:00pm at the Core Theatre stage door
• Performance Start time: 7:00pm
• Performance End time: 9:30pm (approximately)
• Collection Information: Children should be collected from the stage door at the end of the performance. A member of staff will dismiss children individually to their parent/carer

 

Performance Filming and Consent

As always, the performance will be professionally filmed. A link to download the recording will be shared with all families once it is available. To enable us to include your child in the video, we require consent to share their image. Please complete the consent form no later than Friday 19th June after this date the form will close. Children without consent will be blurred throughout the video shared with parents/carers.

 

Lunch

If you would like to order a packed lunch from our school kitchen, please complete the attached form and make your payment of £3.00 via your Parent Pay Account by no later than Friday 19^th June 2026 after this date the form will close.

 

Voluntary Contribution – Coach Travel

To support the cost of coach travel to and from The Core Theatre for the rehearsal day, we kindly invite families to make a voluntary contribution of £8.56 Please make the payment on your child’s Parentpay account.

 

Additional Information

• The Core Theatre bar will be open for refreshments before the performance and during the interval
• Information about booking tickets through the Core Theatre Box Office will be shared shortly
